For near enough 3 weeks i’ve been practising Japanese by writing down both Hiragana & Katakana and i think i’m making good progress

As the title says! i’ve been practising this way while copying from both the Hiragana & Katakana scripts with romanji under each character, i’m using a few resources on my phone to help with pronouncing them *(such as Lingodeer)*.

I’ve pre ordered Genki 1 to help me *(i’ll take my time with Genki 1 before getting the others)* and soon i plan on trying to get the grasp of basic sentences by writing with both Hiragana & Katakana *(with romanji under them)*, then i’ll try and learn basic Kanji.

It may sound like I’m rushing… and thinking far ahead but I am taking this slowly whilst trying to memorise the characters’ pattern and their sound.

am I doing this right?

jokes, you’re overthinking things, enjoy the journey and relax.
