Do I need like a Kanji textbook/dictionary to go with a Kanji workbook?

I learn better when its all in book form so thats whybi have a kanji workbook. So I currently have the Kanji Look and Learn workbook and using the genki textbook to learn the usual, but was wondering if there’s a need to buy the kanji look and learn textbook or any kanji dictionary like The Complete Guide to Japanese Kanji to go along with the workbook?
