Looking for Youtuber and Podcast Recommendations

So I’ve decided to jump back into studying Japanese after a bit of a hiatus, and thought I’d try to incorporate more of it into my daily routine, but most of the threads I’ve come across link to podcasts on Spotify, which I don’t intend on using.

In short, what I’m looking for is interesting content that I can listen to while exercising or doing stuff around the house aimed at a general Japanese audience.

I normally listen to video essays on various forms of media, as well as topics related to social issues, history, art, architecture, urbex, quirky stuff on the internet and a bit of lifestyle vlogging here and there. I also prefer content that isn’t too bombastic or gimmicky, if possible. Good editing and a sense of aesthetics are also always a plus!

If you have anything of the sort to recommend, I’d greatly appreciate it!

  1. How about Youtube anime? There are a lot of anime only aired on youtube in Japan. Those are relatively short (1-10min) and easy to watch. Most of them are not translated yet, but it is trending slowly. Many of them have Japanese subtitles.
