Hi everyone, I need a suggestion to buy a phone number using Ahamo, Linemo, etc.
And most of them has the same common problem, which they requires me to have a contact phone number. But that’s what I’m doing, buying a phone number..
Note: It is possible to buy number locally but I would like to avoid that since it is very far for me from where I live, and the plan is cheaper + better coverage compared to local SIM. This would be my last plan.
Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.

Give them your school/employer/whatever phone number for contact number.
Needing a phone number to get a phone number is top-shelf classic wtf Japan.
I’m in this case right now, supposed to receive my Linemo card tomorrow, ive just put 090 followed by 0s. I thought i’d take the gamble and change it to the future number i’ll get as I heard its unlikely they’ll contact it unless some issues happen
Use your employer’s / school’s phone number. They will only contact that number in case of emergency (unpaid bills)
Honestly, it was a headache getting an E-sim online. Went to Laox in Shibuya, and the staff there did it in like 30 minutes.
Bought my iPhone 14 from the US, so needed an esim only.
Went in with no e-sim, came out with it all set up on my phone. Save yourself the headache and all the rejected applications and just go to the shop.
I used Rakuten.
