How is it like to buy contact lenses in Japan?

I will move to Osaka next month. A few weeks ago, I went to the doctor to start the process of migrating from using glasses to contact lenses, but due to some unexpected problems, it won’t be possible to finish this change. So, I will have to buy lenses in Japan, and this is what I want to ask: Are they expensive there? Is there a place/site where you recommend I buy them from? Any other comments or suggestions?

Thanks 🙂

  2. In Tokyo we went to a mall that gas them and you just sign a piece of paper stating that your rx is good and you understand the risks of using the wrong rx and u can buy it right there.

  3. I wear contacts, Dailies Total 1, and went to Costco and gave them my contacts I used and they just used the prescription info on the contacts box and I was able to order more. Did this for 2 years before moving back to the states.

  4. I recommend Eyecity, they were very helpful, patient and got my prescription on the spot perfect. They also have Japanese made or American made contacts and accept PayPay coupons and such. Highly recommend. (Edit: was also from what I remember, very affordable)
