Hello! So recently I have been trying to ship my MacBook Pro and air pods to Japan from the US, however I have been running into some significant problems. The package has been rejected from customs twice due to the battery’s and I’m running about of ideas of getting it here, do y’all know of any work arounds I can try to get it here? Has anyone had any similar issues? Thank you and I look forward to your responses.

Remove batteries, ship laptop, replace batteries once here.
This is the way. I have spoken.
It looks as if Federal Express will do it. There’s a surcharge of about Â¥8000 on top of the shipping. Check [here](https://www.fedex.com/en-jp/shipping-guide/pack/lithium-batteries.html).
My employer was able to send an intact MacBook Pro from the US in 2021 using UPS, in case that’s any help. No idea how much it cost.
don’t ship it in original box with IATA battery labels on it. This is why it’s getting rejected. Also because of battery cells count is over limit if you send laptop and headphones. So send those separately. Put MacBook box into another box so that labels aren’t visible and send it again.
Look into shipping it as dangerous goods. Might cost a slight extra fee depending on carrier. Not sure about US but for EU I know DHL can ship DG.
I’ve shipped a laptop and Nintendo switch in the same box to Japan via usps. I’d say if you choose the correct option and declare it correctly, you should have zero issues.
