Hi everyone! I’m Tokyo based. Long story short I’ve pondered around the idea too long and I’d really like to play a game of D&D but can’t find any friends that will play with me. I looked online and there seemed to be an old thread of someone asking the same thing so I thought I’d give it a shot. If any D&D groups are around and be willing to have me, I’d really really like to learn how to play!

This is a weird answer, and might not be your cup of tea, but my church in Kobe is working on putting together an online D&D group, and we’re all mostly beginners. 🙂
A lot of DnD groups went online during the pandemic, and honestly, I think they got used to it… you can use stuff like discord and roll20 etc. to keep track of everything. In fact, it’s ideal for a beginner because it knows all the rules lol (although it’s terrible with homebrew). Although, it does lose something with the social aspect…
your best chance is going to be online. It’s going to be a pain to find a group whos time lines up with yours though.
Let’s learn together… I’ve played the PC games and read about 20 novels… Ready to make the jump! Also in Tokyo.
