What’s your favorite body text font?

For me it’s SimHei.

  1. Absolutely UD Digi Kyokasho. I know it’s meant for school textbooks (hence the name…) so I guess Japanese people will associate it with educational settings, but for me it makes for a nice mix of handwritten and stylized.

  2. I don’t have any specific favorite, but I generally prefer a mincho font for body text.

  3. Meiryo! I use it for everything I hand out!

It’s a soft font that’s super easy to read and to practice with! And characters with different styles like ふ or れ are not complicated/too over connected like handwriting can be. (teach Japanese in a HS so anything easy to read is always a life saver)
