Psychiatrist recommendations in Tokyo?

Specifically somewhere near Suidobashi area or places around it that accepts nhi?

Thank you.

Edit: Thought I should add some details. I am fine with it being in Japanese, language is not an issue.

Looking at other threads, I saw Mejiro Sola Clinic being recommended.. Is that good? Anyone has experience with that clinic? I am 26 years old female (I have never sought mental help, but took the decision to do so after my friend constantly said I should. I thought I could change myself by my own power but I think it doesn’t hurt to try once. A place that covers nhi please.)

  1. Since you probably searched for psychiatrists in English, you will get mostly foreigners reviewing English speaking psychiatrists, potentially leaving out the good ones who speak Japanese only.

The usual suspects for good doctors, from personal experience (including the Mejiro Sola you mentioned):

    1. Yotsuya Yui clinic (national insurance coverage)
    2. NTT Medical Center Tokyo (national insurance coverage)
    3. TAC – Tokyo American Clinic (Dr. Kissane) – no insurance coverage

TAC was too expensive to continue, and although they’re the go to clinic for expats, I felt the time spent talking about the symptoms/diagnosis/expectations insufficient – I guess he was busy with other patients, but I pay for 40 min session, and would expected to use all the alloted time as necessary.

Other mentioned clinics had great doctors, but as usual here, the waiting times even for scheduled appointments are long, due to overbooking on their side (I think each patient is given 15 min or so), so YMMV.

  2. Why Psychatrist? Psychologist is better I think.
Also be careful if you use your health insurance card , your company will know eventually.
