I’m going with my family (6 people- 2 teens; 2 children; 4 adults) to Japan- none of us know the language (me and the other teen probably the most, but our knowledge just comes from extensive anime watch-time), and the itinerary itself was created by mostly me, with the base and dates provided by one of the adults- outside of us two, no one provided any commentary on any places they would like to go (we started planning this trip \~3 months ago, in celebration of my birthday), so I just decided to fill it with places I thought they would like, as well as filling off the checklist for places I would like to go as well. Some days aren’t really filled out that well, so I’d like recommendations on that, as well as places that might need tickets or will be hard for people with minimal knowledge of the language.
**Itinerary:**
Day 1: Tokyo
* Get cash from international atm, as well as Suica Card
* (Depending on hunger) Hotel food
* Shibuya Crossing (We view it from Starbucks QFront because I don’t know how complicated it’ll be to use rail)
* Pokemon Center Shibuya (150-8377Shibuya15-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya Parco 6F)
* Dinner – local food as it’s too far
* Azuki to Kouri Ice Cream
* Order: Hotel -> Yoyogi Park (32 minute walk to save money) -> QFront Building to see Shibuya Crossing (walk from Yoyogi to QFront which on google maps says its \~10 min) -> Radio Eva Store (walk from QFront to Radio Eva which is also \~10 min) (which is in the same location as Pokemon Center Shibuya -> Pokemon Center Shibuya (walk from Radio Eva to Pokemon because same location) (same store as Radio Eva, but Radio Eva is first because it’s on 5th floor, while Pokemon Center is on 6th floor) -> Local Food-> Azuki to Kouri (near Hotel) -> walk + drive back to Hotel to save money (\~20 minute walk)
* Day 2: Tokyo
* Micasadeco & Cafe – Pancakes or Hotel Food (Orange for Hotel Food, blue for Pancakes)
* Tokyo Sea life Park
* TeamLab Planets
* Dinner – Local or Hotel (depending on time and hunger)
* Order: Walk from hotel to xyz (just follow GM directions) then board and transfer to Tokyo Life Sea Park (which is in Tokyo Disney, so might need some sort of reservation), then train to Team Lab Planets, buy local dinner, then ride back to hotel
* Order: Walk from hotel to xyz station, board and transfer (just follow GM info) to Pancakes, basically repeat process for getting to Tokyo Disney and TeamLab Planets + Dinner
* Note: Tokyo Disney will probably have a lot of merch for the kids, so be prepared to spend
* Day 3: Tokyo
* Hotel Food
* Tokyo Skytree
* Yayoi Kusama Museum
* Senso Ji Temple
* Kyu Asakura House
* Dinner – Kappabashi Street
* Order: Hotel -> Museum -> Kyu Asakura House -> Precure Store in First Avenue Tokyo Station (magical girl anime, don’t question why I want merch for it) -> Senso Ji Temple -> Tokyo Skytree -> Kappabashi Dougu Street
* Day 4: Tokyo
* Chartered Mt. Fuji
* Chartered Car to mt. Fuji
* Lake Yamanaka
* Onshi Hakone Park
* Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park
* MOA Museum of Art
* Odawara Castle
* Dinner at Hotel or local
* Day 5: Tokyo
* Hotel Food/ Pancakes
* Museum of Contemporary Art
* Radio Kaikan
* Order: Hotel -> xyz station -> Eva Store 01 (Evangelion Store Tokyo-01, 池袋PARCO本館6F 1 Chome-28-2 Minamiikebukuro, Toshima City, Tokyo 171-0022, Japan) -> Radio Kaiken -> Amiami Radio Kaiken (kids will go to Sega Akihabra which is in the same area) -> HardOff (Jp antique and vintage games, albums, etc. store) -> xyz station -> Museum of Contemporary Art -> Food -> hotel
* Similarly to Disney Tokyo, this will probably one of the main places for merch, so be prepared to spend
* Day 6: Tokyo
* Hotel Food
* Isetan – Shopping Store
* Oedo Antique Market (Tokyo International Forum, 3 Chome-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda City, Tokyo 100-0005, Japan is the location I found for it but it doesn’t match up with what google maps puts when I search it)
* Gundam Factory Yokohama (tickets recommended for optimal viewing)
* HardOff (HARD OFF KICHIJOJI, アソルティ吉祥寺エスト 1F 1 Chome-4-27 Kichijoji Higashicho, Musashino, Tokyo 180-0002, Japan)
* Order: Hotel -> Isetan -> Oedo -> Gundam Factory Yokohama -> park
* Day 7: Tokyo
* Micasadeco & Cafe – Pancakes
* Depart for airport @ 12noon
