Long story short, I thought I’d be stopping back home but I’m stuck here now and have just run out of my anti-depressants, and my adhd medication which is a stimulant will run out soon.
Is there any legal way to get these into the country without them being on my person? I will have a prescription for both, but the stimulant in particular seems very difficult although I need it to function for work.
Help would be much appreciated. As an alternative, it is also possible for me to fly to a nearby asian country if that can help in any way. Thanks.

The best thing is to go to a local mental clinic メンタルクリニック or a psychiatrist 精神科 in a large hospital. Show the doctor your prescription from Canada and talk with them about your options. Japan may have your meds or you may have to go on an alternative. Do not import your meds here from Canada.
Adderall contains amphetamine, which is a strictly controlled substance in Japan. You cannot bring this medication with you when you come to Japan either. Vyvanse is not available either but can bring in or import with an import permit. You can bring in/import with an import permit.

Sorry it’s illegal and immoral for you to be able to function for work. The only prescription is “gaman harder”
I feel this pain.
Anecdotally I’ve had family send me medication from Canada before including a prescription SSRI refill (which was for much more than 1 month) like 4-5 years ago. They even opened the package and inspected it, but nothing was taken and there was no repercussions or anything
Just did this recently so I had my parents go to my family doctor and pick up a prescription for what I needed. They got it from my drug store and sent the medication to me in the mail with a copy of the prescriptions. They emailed me a copy so I had them as well (Bupropion (Wellbutrin) and Finasteride) and didn’t have to do anything at all. If there’s an issue they will contact you and make you apply for a Yunyu Kakuin-sho like you might’ve done for bringing meds when you first came here/last came here. So just get them sent here asap cause if it gets flagged it’ll be a long process.
Stimulants are impossible for Japan. You will need to go to the doctor and try to get alternatives, albeit much less effective. Be very careful with carrying any stimulants in Japan. If you are caught with it the laws around it is extremely harsh and you are looking at 5+ years behind bars.
