Thank you to the person who brought my wallet back to the koban

I somehow managed to lose my wallet between my home and my baby’s hoikuen, and when I went to the koban they told me it had been found. I only know that the person who brought it back was not Japanese, so if you’re in the group, thank you very much. I’m a working mom, my whole life is in this wallet and I don’t know how I would have been able to go everywhere and have all my identity papers remade. I wanted to give you something in return but you said you did not need it on the paper, so I have no way of contacting you.
Thank you so much.

Edit : made a mistake in the date 🙏

  1. That’s awesome. Ages ago also had my wallet returned to the local koban. Cash etc inside.

Maybe a good time to make copies of any critical paperwork and keep it in a safe place at home! (Need to do that myself…)

  2. April 4th?

That motherfucker is so far ahead of us they’re living in the future 😳

  3. Awesome story.

I think you’re largely a product of your environment and being in a place where people return lost items encourages others to do the same.

  4. Same can go to the school kid who returned my keys to my local koban last year. 🤙
