I tried searching online about kimono rentals in these two cities but didn’t find much info at all. Does anyone know of places you can recommend and what the pricing was when you’d last went?
Google gave me one location with a 15000 yen rental cost which is much higher than I’ve seen in other cities and Google maps showed a few other potential locations, but I’d have to call for more info and I’m unsure if they’ll have English speakers.
So I’m checking here first to see if anyone has info or firsthand experience they could share with me. Looking to go at the end of April to catch the cherry blossoms. Thanks in advance!

I don’t have experience in those cities but 15,000 yen sounds more like a kimono purchase then a rental.
The Hirosaki tourism association has a list of yukata rental companies, it may be worth checking them individually to see if they have kimono packages: https://www.hirosaki-kanko.or.jp/en/edit.html?id=yukata-rental
15,000 yen is a lot for a rental. Are you sure it’s not some fancy furisode or wedding package? Most basic kimono rentals will be around the 5000 yen mark, at least when I looked a few years ago.
