This itinerary would be for solo travel this upcoming fall for my birthday. I’m already planning on getting the JR Rail Pass. Is it recommended to purchase the JR Rail Pass through the site or through a travel agency site such as Klook? Should I look into getting the Osaka Amazing Pass and Kansai Thru Pass? Should I get a pocket wifi AND a SIM card? I only want to be able to play Pokemon GO and have internet on my phone.

  1. You won’t need a reservation to the bon voyage store unless it’s the first couple days after new items go on sale, so you’ll just have to check the website when it gets closer.

  2. You should not get a JR Pass as you will not get value from it given your travel plans. Pay as you go. Kyoto / Nara / Osaka are close together and the transport cost reflects this.

You can use the calculator link below to check for yourself.
