Does anyone know where I can get Japanese cedar for acoustic guitars?

1. Does it have to be online? Can’t you just pop down to the local wood shop?

2. You’d think that a mastermind like Lex Luthier could figure out something like this on his own…

3. If you’re looking for one or two tops, search for 木材 ギター　杉　on auctions.yahoo.jp – there are a few nice tops on there (that’s lumber, guitar and cedar btw).For more general wood, omit 杉　(cedar) from the search.

   If you need more quantity, search for 木材　ギター　and check the most prolific sellers – they’re usually linked to lumber yards.

4. Cut down every goddamn cedar trees and build guitars so I can escape from this hayfever nightmare.
