Protein Bar recs

Hi everyone!
I still don’t read Japanese very well and I’m on the hunt for some healthy protein bars. Basically high (and quality) protein and lower in sugar and carbs.
Please don’t comment if you’re going to say I should be getting my nutrients in meals. I eat well, thank you, but I need these for my snack options and to hit daily protein goals.
I’m not picky about flavors so recommend away 🙂

  1. I noticed most of them here are high in kcal. I usually import mine from myprotein. Delivery is fast and only over a certain amount you pay import tax.

  2. Unfortunately, I find most of the protein bars on sale here are high in sugar and carbs. If you don’t mind them needing a fridge, salad chicken, chicken bars, and tofu bars can be found at most convenience stores as a quick protein boost.

  3. Protein is タンバク, and carbs is 炭水化物. Calories you can easily tell. I’d recommend practicing reading the labels.

    I get the IN brand one, but the darker one because it’s lower calories. Or else I go to My basket and get the cheapest one there. I think I’m addicted to them actually.

  4. I’m maintaining an excel with all the bars I tried lol.

    So far the best in terms if protein / ratio and nutrition to me were:

    Strong bar cacao black, Savas Soy protein, morinaga in protein bar gold, and “soy choco”. But these don’t necessarily taste great or can have annoying texture, but since your not picky, I’m sharing.

    So far the best balance of nutrition, protein, taste and texture to me has been Asahi 一本満足 Protein cereal black (シリアルブラック) and the morninga bar mentioned above.

  5. Give up. Most protein bars are high in sugar and carbs and calories. Better to just drink whey straight up.
