Planning for PR Application but found out I need to do ESPP tax filing

I have gathered all my documents for PR application but just this morning I found out I need to file kakutei shinkoku for the ESPP unit payments deducted from my salary. I have never done kakutei shinkoku and just let my company deduct all those taxes. Help, do I proced to applying for PR?Would they be able to find out I am participating at company ESPP?
This is really due to lack of my knowledge about ESPP.Have I known this I would dutifully file those papers
I have gathered my documents for the last 8 weeks and Im just finding this out.

  1. I think you should consult with an immigration lawyer, just in case. Some prefectures / cities have free or reduced fee appointments with Immigration lawyers so perhaps you can inquire at your local city hall or international relations society?

  2. I did the same thing my first two years here. First thing’s first, you gotta report it all and pay up. Then, I believe you will need to wait x amount of years for however many points you qualify with (80=1 year, 70=3 years).
