Any US folk style wrestlers on here? I’m looking for where I can find ways to get on the wrestling mat. I’m also looking to buy some shoes that a buddy said are only available in Japan: Asics TWR900s. Anyone know where I can snag a pair?
I’d like to know as well. I did some wrestling in high school but now I’d like to get my daughter into it.
High school and college teams. After that try handball or softball, adult clubs are going to be tough to find. Serious answer, BJJ.
The BJJ places will have judo-ka but probably will be wary if take downs. There just isn’t enough mat space.
Look up レスリングジム + your city. There’s a place called SK wrestling academy in Shinjuku that has a coach who also coaches at St Mary’s international school so likely speaks some English.
