Contract vs Seishain re: termiantion

I know this topic has been beaten to death but I would like to know whether there is difference between being a contract vs permanent employee facing termination in light of company restructuring or dissolvence. Wouldn’t both suffer the same fate of getting fired or resigning without much legal protection?

  1. Why would you think that? Both have *significant* legal protections. There have been plenty of cases where companies have been refused dissolution until they have satisfied their obligations to their employees.
