Buying handheld gaming accessories in Tokyo

I recently bought steam deck and I plan to buy some accessories for it. I’m planning on going to Akihabara to check out few stores. But, it’s such a big place with so many shops. It would be great if anyone can share their experiences and places where I can buy a few things.

I wanted to buy [Dbrand’s Killswitch](https://dbrand.com/shop/grip/steam-deck-cases), but it’s in backorder and will ship in June. Also, I planned on buying DBrand skins. Since importing them is costly, I wanted to buy these in one go. Looks like that’s not happening before June, and I don’t think I would want to wait that long.

Any shops you guys would recommend to check out which might have good quality skins and case for Steam Deck?

Another thing I want to buy is a holder that can stick to my steam deck and hold the external battery. Something like [Deckmate universal Mount](https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1249623188/deckmate-universal-mount-bundle-the-most?click_key=5b0140d4f1e88c65ffa6b9415f91eeefc1adb496:1249623188&click_sum=8a942437&ref=shop_home_feat_3&bes=1). But, this is super costly for such a simple thing.
Any suggestions for this as well?

These are the small things I wanted to buy, and thought that it’ll be worth checking Akihabara out for these things. But, please recommend some shops that might have a few options.

I’ve looked on Amazon and skin options are limited and I’m not sure about the quality of cases that I have seen. I’ve used DBrand products in past so I’m confident about them. For this reason itself I want to go check out the store in person.

  1. This seems like a post about shopping, maybe your question is solved by [the wiki page](https://www.reddit.com/r/japanlife/wiki/shopping)?

  2. I doubt anyone in akiba knows what a steam deck is let alone sells products to ruin it.

  3. I’ve never seen dbrand products in stores, and I believe that steam deck sales are only happening online via that one distributor here (Degica I think?)

It’s very unlikely that you will find any of this in any store in Akiba, just because it’s rare for a store to sell accessories to a thing without being able to sell the main thing. I know that Sofmap sells other micro-PCs like the GPD Pocket, but thats its own thing

Your best bet is probably to just order the thing you’re thinking of buying and waiting. You already spent 60k yen on the device, what’s another 10k between friends?
