Law Jobs in Japan

Hi, I’m from the Philippines. I’m curious if there are jobs that offer foreigners to take a law practice in Japan.

And if so, what could be the requirements before working in Japan?

  2. You cannot practice Japanese law unless you have passed the bar exam here. If you have a license to practice law in the Philippines, you can work at an international law firm provided that you only provide advice on matters concerning the laws of the Philippines, so I do not believe that there would be much demand for that.

If you are fluent in Japanese, there are a small number of paralegal positions and translation positions available, but these are really competitive and hard to get.

  3. As a Filipino lawyer, in Japan, you will have a lot of issues. You will face a lot of xenophobia in your workplace and in court.

Also, you would need to master the language and pass their bar.
