Suggest visiting nearby Kichijoji’s larger shopping streets vs. Mitaka.
The first week of the year can be difficult. You should double-check the operating hours for all your stops to make sure they aren’t closed for the holiday.
Ghibli Museum is closed December 27th until Jan 3rd
Calendar not out yet for Jan, but Jan 9th is a Tuesday, so park will probably be closed.
