My favorite sushi spot has started having "Omakase Night" once a month, and I traded a seat for some photography. We had a blast! What a great night. For those who don't know, Omakase means "chef's choice" (literal: "I leave it up to you"). So enjoyable. Menu and link to full gallery in comments.

Wife’s iphone 6s battery is declining. Instead of focusing on the problem the clerk said that they couldn’t replace the problem without repairing the ear piexe, the scratch on the screen, removing the dirt on the headphone jack.
So instead of just 7000yen+ they charged my wife 20000yen.
Edit: My wife have decided to buy a new iphone instead.
Assuming there’s no warranty etc, then one of the independents is going to be less expensive.
For example, a place like this chain or franchise, will charge JPY 9,800 and up for an iPhone X:

Oh wait, Bic Camera’s authorized Apple repair is more expensive but not that much more. For an iPhone X, JPY 12,800 (including Tax) (which would be JPY 11,626 without tax):

In the Apple stores it’s straightforward. You come, tell your pain, give them your phone and receive it back very soon after.
