行政書士 (administrative scrivener) admitted that he misinterpreted the law about 特例期間 and didnt realize for months, I had been here on a tourist visa wavier waiting for my spouse of japanese visa. Now immigration is asking for additional information on how im able to “pay my rent” even though ive been paying it with no issues since September. Theres no way they can extend the period of stay without withdrawing the application, so he said the best thing to do is leave the country and go to korea and come back the same day. I just know i will be questioned and hastled. How do i handle this at the airport? I leave and come back on the same day next week? Im living with my wife, and living off of savings and investments, not working until i get the visa. The government waited until the absolute last minute and cause the lawyer *行政書士 told me the wrong thing im scrambling to get my shit together to leave the country..
Any advice would be appreciated

Do you mean you have already consulted an immigration lawyer after your found out that your administrative scrivener made a mistake?
Is your spouse visa application still being processed? I do not think that it is a good idea at all to leave the country, but you need a proper immigration lawyer rather than a scrivener. And I hope that you haven’t given any money to the scrivener.
