Any recs for a day trip up the Ishikawa peninsula from Kanazawa?

I would love to explore the Ishikawa peninsula on a day trip . I spent a few days in Kanazawa and have covered everything I want to, and now I have a free day.

Unfortunately do not have a car so a bus tour or the train would work well.

The port city of *Himi* is intriguing.

I was considering Toyama city but it’s not the best season to visit it right now, though they do have a nice glass Museum.

I looked into *Noto* which looks nice but is quite a distance to go to (3.5 hours). I also found *Tojinbou* in Fukui prefecture which is an option but south of Kanazawa.

Would love to hear from others who have done similar trips from near Kanazawa.

(I already did Takayama for a few days and absolutely fell in love with that city)

  1. How about Takaoka then sunset at Amaharashi Coast? I also had a spare day while I was in Kanazawa and from what I remember it only took 40min to Takaoka then another 20ish minutes to Amaharashi. Takaoka attractions are walkable/trammable from the station as well so it was a convenient daytrip.

I also did Fukui but coming from Osaka. It was a bit more of a hassle and I could pnly go to Eiheiji because of bus times.
