Itinerary review – 13 days in Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo)

hi I’m going with my 2 brothers to Japan in mid may, I’m 18 and my brothers are 21 and 24

I just want to know if my itinerary is doable and not too much for a first time travelers overseas

bear in mind that this is my first time ever planning a trip

please tell me what do you think and feel free to recommend places you think is a must go for a first time traveler in japan

  1. Day 5 may be tough. Google Maps is great for mapping out distances between each. Keep in mind to add, almost double, what Google estimates until you feel comfortable, especially given this is your first international travel.

  2. Inokashira is a nice park, but an odd choice if you’re doing neither Ghibli Museum or Kichijoji.

  3. Day 9 looks like a lot of back-and-forth. You might want to reorganize the Tokyo stops to group things closer together.

    I’d pick either SkyTree or Shibuya Sky, but not both. A lot of time spent to see urban sprawl from above.

  4. I just for back doing 3 weeks. I underestimated commute times between each activity. Doubling the google maps time seems like a good idea. Im familiar with riding the train system but even then i found myself running way behind my planned itinerary.
