The typical yori I find is the comparison kind or the one you sign off at the end of letters.
What about the kind you see most like in TV broadcasts or announcements or something official I believe?
Kore yori \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_. or Honjitsu yori. I believe it’s “after this” or “for (today)” is what I’m guessing.

より originally means ‘from’ and this is the origin of the comparative use. This is especially obvious in letters.
本日より is a formal synonym of 今日から, and likewise これより is for これから
