Japanese law that protects employee?

Is there a Japanese law that prevents bosses from discriminating against employees by looking into health records? I’ve heard in some Asian countries, employees don’t seek often help for mental illness because it’ll be written down on their health record. And if a boss or employer finds out about this, this could be used to discriminate against them, or worse fire them. Is this true? Or is there a law to protect Japanese employees?

  1. I am not sure it is law about cooperation, but there is a government support until they cured.
