I was very excited to try sugarfish out after hearing so much about it but it was very underwhelming. the fish didn’t taste particularly fresh and I’m not a fan of the round nigiri shape. The rice was mushy and warm, and warm sushi is not appetizing. Also my eel had a ton of bones still I had to pick out myself. Hopefully others have had better experiences! But unfortunately for me I wouldn’t go again 🙁
Jesus they had edamame as a course wtf lol
Also that nigiri is assssss
Sorry, I hope it was cheap
I agree Sugarfish is very overrated but I must admit I love their hand rolls restaurant.
Why does sugarfish nigiri always look like its rolled up in a ball?
SF gets so much flak, but their trust me boxes got me through the pandemic. and their blue crab handrolls (Also from their sister restaurant kazunori) is one of my favorite temaki
Love me some sugar fish, usually end up there at least once in LA. It’s not the absolute best but for the price it is good, and I love the warm heavily seasoned rice, its intentional.
