  2. The best Black Ramen I had was at some small shop in Nagoya at an izakaya after a work drinking evening, and it came out with an*obscene* amount of freshly cracked black pepper on it. I was slightly concerned that it wouldn’t live up to the name and was called black because of the pepper, but the dark shoyu tare and pork soup were outstanding.
