Expressing increase/decrease/plateau in japanese

How to express change in “quantities” in Japanese?
For example;
The figures have increased/decreased over the past 2 years
The number of COVID-19 patients have increased/decreased recently
Is there a one-fit-all word?

Likewise, how to express quantifiers like “Doubled” , “Tripled” ,”Halved”. Google says O倍になった, but also 倍増 for “doubled”>
