I bought a Yahoo Auction without realizing that Japan Post bank was the only payment method, and I’m not quite sure how to actually get the money to the seller. I don’t have a Japan Post bank account.
I have their account info – will that be enough to deposit the payment if I go into the post office with cash? Or can it only be done via transfer from Japan Post account?

You don’t need a Japan Post bank account to transfer funds to a Japan post account, if you have an account at anotherr bank you should be able to do a transfer at an ATM with minimal hassle so long as you have the account info.
