Help! Moved into apartment and noticed dying bugs outside the door.

I can’t add a picture to the post but they look like long skinny brown bugs that have wings. Last week I saw 2 dying ones outside of our door and wondered why feeling like it was random, but tonight I opened my door to go to the vending machine and there’s one laying there still twitching outside my door, so I know it’s not dead. Is it good that they are dying? I have never seen this type of bug before so I though it was just a moth but realized it is too skinny and brown to be a moth. I have a picture but the sub won’t let me post.
