1. Yes this was absolutely the right decision and an incredible moment, but NJ missed a golden opportunity to have SANADA lose, then face more adversity…

2. It’s kinda funny yet sad that Cody never got his story to have a proper conclusion despite the many things he’d done (wrestling with a broken tiddy no less among others) yet FTR, Adesanya and Sanada got theirs perfect conclusions within a week after Wrestlemania.

   God bless Taichi for seeing Sanada’s worth, I look forward to more of J5G.

3. Cody had a 1 year build, where he beat Seth Rollins twice (who was no longer in the world title picture), was out 8 months, returned at the Rumble with a predictable fast track win and had his Wrestlemania build overshadowed by Zayn.

   Sanada had a 7-year rivalry with Okada and finally bested him when it mattered, as he establishes arguably his biggest character change in that entire time.

   I’m not going to leave an opinion, I’m just outlining the two scenarios you are comparing.

10. “Finish the story” has to be one of the weirdest tag lines for a feud I can remember. Every thing that happened in Cody Rhodes’ story took place in a different company than WWE. The story of Cody breaking away from the Stardust gimmick and going from “Undesirable to Undeniable” can be seen in AEW, ROH, NJPW, Impact, etc, but definitely not WWE, which is fine, if you’re a wrestling fan. You should watch what you want and can watch. But I will admit, I found it quite odd that the main event of Wrestlemania was sold as the climax of a multi year story involving the events of every major wrestling promotion on the planet except WWE. It’s like WWE wanted to reward all the fans who watch their competitors product despite their own loyal fans being ignorant to the story.

    On the flip side, NJPW gave us something that rewarded you if you’ve watched NJPW for the past few years.

11. Imagine if he lost and then he and EVIL reunited and won thr tag titles and fans talked themselves into that being satisfying.
