3. Kevin is always pretty bad when calling women’s/Stardom matches.

4. He has a hilariously massive divide between his best and his worst and boy was that on show last night where he hit both extremes

6. Kevin Kelly is to Stardom what JR was to NJPW.

7. I LOVED Kelly’s commentary for the event. The main event was built up so well, him saying that even though Sanada’s career wasnt on the line, it might have well been, and acting as if this was mentally his last chance at the brass ring.

8. I listened to the english commentary for most of the show and I was reminded why I usually don’t. Kevin and Chris can be fun but they are too comfortable. It’s just too much joke cracking and banter for my taste. I listened to the Japanese commentary for the main event and it’s always the perfect soundtrack to an epic match.

9. Anyone would have had difficulty calling that match. The pace was ridiculous. I felt bad for the ref attempting to make pin counts in the first few minutes

10. Hadn’t listened to English comms in a long time. But you’re right, Kevin was distractingly bad.

11. Kevin Kelly has hit a point in his career where his worst and his best come out and he can’t contain it anymore; I think it’s rather funny tbh

12. I like Kevin in general, aside from the DESTINOOOOOOOO stuff, but I thought he was really off for most of this show. He was way too sarcastic and jokey for a lot of it. I don’t think that’s always bad on multiman undercard tags/small Road To shows, but this was obviously a big show.

    I did think he was good in the main event though, and the moment with Kyle Fletcher was really nice.

13. The first half of the show was him arguing with the tech people, but him making fun of the old guy with the Stardom banner before the backstage comments at the end makes up for it

14. Speaking of KK, on April 2nd he said that the April 2nd and Aprild 3rd shows would be up on the NJPW site in English in a few days. Well today is April 9th and still no shows in English commentary. Not that it’s the end of the world, would just be nice to be given a heads up the months they’re not going to have shows done in English. I should’ve known better that April would be that month. And yes, he as horrible on the ppv to say the least.
