I’m trying to learn hiragana and katakana currently. Been messing around with my game and watch and realized Link’s Awakening has a Japanese option. I figured why not?
Looking at the character select screen in English, it simply says “Player Select”. In the Japanese, the same screen is posed as a question. The kana, as it reads to me, is “だれで すさ?” My question is, what the hell is すさ? I could honestly be reading the font wrong but the only definition I could seem to dig out is height.
I imagine it’s just asking me Who is the player, or who is it? But I’d like to make sure on that.https://i.imgur.com/lVW6OHJ.jpg

is it する or すさ？ because one is the verb “to do” and the other is gibberish
You sure it doesn’t say something like だれですか
Picture says “だれでする”
That’s clearly だれで (by who)
する to do
So it has to be something like “do by who ?”
Yeah that’s definitely だれでする. Those old pixel characters can be a little messy to read.
It basically means “Who will you do it(play) as?”
