3. Looks similar to the Kamabata udon at Udon Baka Ichidai in Takamatsu. Raw egg, green onions, butter, black pepper. Add your own soy sauce. Good shit.

4. Shin Udon is amazing. Highly recommend if you’re in the shinjuku area and either want to eat early or don’t mind waiting in line for a bit

12. This place is so good. Try the broth less options, they’re amazing. Unfortunately even at weekday lunch hours you’re looking at a 1hr wait

15. A cosy, casual place. So, so good. If going here I implore you to also order the tempura shitaki mushroom and add a liberal quantity of the special salt they provide. Umami madness.
