I would urge you to consider just staying in Kyoto and not moving to Osaka; they are very close to each other. You could do Universal Studios as a day trip. This might give you time to consider visiting Himeji castle as a day trip as well – a must for a student of medieval Japanese history!
Nara is closer to Osaka than Kyoto if you wanna switch your days around. If your accommodations aren’t fully booked, I also recommend just staying in Kyoto. Although it might be too late to change now due to golden week.
May I ask if you booked a tour in Hankone?
