Hey! Looking for some feedback on the itinerary which I’ve prepared for our 11 days trip to Japan. Our trip is planned for the next month (May 07th to May 17th 2023), the flight tickets are booked and as well as the hotels.
This would be the first time for all of us visiting Japan as well as going abroad. We are a family of three i.e., me (25) and my parents (63 and 66).
So here goes\~
**Day 0(06th May, 2023 Saturday)\[Delhi\]:**
* Flight from Delhi, India to Tokyo at 09:10 PM.
**Day 1(07th May, 2023 Sunday)\[Tokyo/Kyoto\]:**
* Land at Narita International Airport at 08:45 AM.
* Customs and immigration.
* Narita Express to Shinagawa Station, Tokyo.
* Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen from Shinagawa Station to Kyoto Station, Kyoto.
* Check-in and rest at the hotel (Hotel Keihan Kyoto Ekiminami, Kyoto).
**Day 2(08th May, 2023 Monday)\[Kyoto\]:**
* Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
* Arashiyama Monkey Park.
* Kinkaku-Ji Temple.
* Nishiki Market.
* Kiyomizu-dera, Otowa Waterfall and Jishu Shrine.
* Higashiyama District, Ninenzaka and Yasaka-Dori.
* Back to the hotel.
**Day 3(09th May, 2023 Tuesday)\[Osaka\]:**
* Universal Studios Japan, Osaka (do I need to purchase the express pass?)\[I’ll be going here alone\].
* Back to the hotel in Kyoto.
**Day 4(10th May, 2023 Wednesday)\[Kyoto/Nara\]:**
* Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kyoto.
* Nara Deer Park, Nara.
* Back to the hotel in Kyoto.
**Day 5(11th May, 2023 Thursday)\[Kyoto/Tokyo\]:**
* Check-out from the hotel.
* Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kyoto.
* Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen from Kyoto Station, Kyoto to Tokyo Station, Tokyo at around 10 or 11 AM.
* Check-in and rest at the hotel (Tobu Hotel Levant, Tokyo).
* Explore a bit of Akihabara if possible. I will be going here alone.
**Day 6(12th May, 2023 Friday)\[Tokyo\]:**
* Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
* Meiji Jingu Shrine.
* Harajuku.
* Go to few shops/restaurants in around Harajuku like Harajuku Gyozaro, Cat Cafe Mocha, Totti Candy Factory. Along with these explore any other interesting shops/restaurants on the way(Any recommendations for buying souvenirs or any other shops/restaurants?).
* Shibuya Crossing.
* Uobei Shibuya Dogenzaka.
* Roppongi Hills.
* Back to the hotel.
**Day 7(13th May, 2023 Saturday)\[Tokyo\]:**
* Sensoji Temple.
* Onigiri Asakusa Yadoroku.
* Walk a bit along the Sumida River.
* Tokyo Skytree.
* Back to the hotel.
**Day 8(14th May, 2023 Sunday)\[Tokyo/Fuji-San\]:**
* Day trip to Fuji-San 5th Station, Lake Kawaguchi.

* Back to the hotel in Tokyo.
**Day 9(15th May, 2023 Monday)\[Tokyo\]:**
* Team Labs Planet.
* Rainbow Bridge (if possible).
* Tsukiji Market.
* Tsukiji Honganji Temple.
* Akihabara (I’ll be going here alone after dropping parents back to the hotel).
* Back to the hotel.
**Day 10(16th May, 2023 Tuesday)\[Tokyo\]:**
* Imperial Palace.
* Chuo-Dori Ginza.
* Tokyo Tower.
* Back to the hotel.
**Day 11(17th May, 2023 Wednesday)\[Tokyo/Delhi\]:**
* Flight from Narita International Airport, Tokyo to Delhi at 11:15 AM.
* Land at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi at 04:45 PM.

Day 2 is way too packed and not doable, unless you just want to speed running every single location. Day 6 is similar, although doable but you won’t be able to spend too much time on each site.
Considering your parents age, you want to make sure they get plenty of breaks in between point of interest. Especially if it’s your first time travelling to Japan as well, you will most likely getting lost/stuck somewhere trying to figure out the transportation etc. And that just means more detour walks.
Also try to have a rest day in Tokyo for all of you, that doesn’t mean do nothing, but more of a give your legs a break while people watching at a neat cafe/restaurant.
