It’s an unnecessary stepping stone that introductory Japanese guides don’t start with a few easy sentences to explain the role of Kanji, and Kana. It might not be a prohibitive barrier that can stop determined learners, but it’s still just an unnecessary source of early confusion.

ネ (ne) is a Katakana Syllabogram, and doesn’t have any inherent meaning

And why capital letter on every word, is that an OCD thing?
Please learn Katakana hiragana first. Start from basics. It will definitely be difficult for you to learn japanese if you try to learn and translate words without the “alphabet”. But I wish you good luck, and i hope you have enough willpower to get through japanese.

i learned both hiragana and katakana very quick and easily on duolingo! if you press the あ at the bottom tab on the app, you can study solely kana. i recommend if you’re looking for a quick way to learn the kana!
