While nothing special on the surface, sometimes the stars align, it hits you right and a modest match just clicks… I loved this match (for some reason). Taka’s a bona fide legend and it’s wonderful to have Archer back in Japan, where he can hopefully go on a G1 run to rival his extraordinary ’19

  1. Archer was doing nothing in AEW anyway.
That’s the biggest problem with AEW, too many good wrestler’s they’re doing nothing with. Tony Khan shouldn’t have been so eager to sign so many guys.

  2. It’s kinda wholesome to see Archer reunite with the rest of Suzuki-Gun

  3. Any ELP match is can’t-miss for me. Even in multi-man tags, his banter and antics are just too entertaining

  4. Taka is a legend. It’s too bad that he has become Suzuki-Gun’s jobber.

  5. I know why they exists but man the tag matches during the g1 kill the show flow. You might as well not tune in for a hour after the show starts.

  6. Really fun match! I’ll be honest, I usually skim through the preview tags, but the undercard for this year’s G1 has been really interesting thus far.
