My guarantor PR visa card would expire while my PR application is still ongoing at Immigration office. Would it affect the result?Has anyone had this situation before?
They just need to renew their residency card. It might only be a problem if they don’t.
Renewing your PR takes all of 15 minutes… it’s a renewal of the card not the status of residence.
PR doesn’t expire. But can be revoked either automatically if you stay out of country for certain period or by a decision if you commit felony for instance. Renewing card is mandatory and may incur punishment but it’s not same as renewing residency.
No problem.
Off topic: what are the consequences of not renewing the card?
None and just a hassle when doing official things? (Bank, city office, talking to police etc).
