Super random question, what’s the cheapest way to throw away car doors? Years ago my wife destroyed the left side of her car, so I bought 2 doors on Yahoo auction and swapped them out. Now I’ve got 2 doors I need to dispose of.
Cheapest is to sell to a metal junker. That involves you driving on to their scale, dropping off the doors, then getting back on the scale. You’ll receive a few ¥ for the trouble. You may be asked to remove the glass and upholstery first, but you can probably ditch those in the 燃えないゴミ.
I wonder if anyone would be interested in them if you also put the wrecked doors on Mercari or Yahoo auctions lol
If you are in an area where recycle trucks (not recycle shops, more like salvage) go ‘round they will likely take them off your hands. More likely if you are in an agricultural sort of area probably, if so, you might ask your neighbors – several companies leave flyers in mailboxes where I am. I have a regular guy who will take pretty much anything metal (old k truck, old tractor, kids beat up old bikes, etc) as long as it’s not an appliance like a fridge.
About 600 yen each at the oversized garbage place probably.
Drive 2 hours away from your apartment and “forget” them there.
