Thoughts on hikuleo?

Personally I like him a lot. Hes got the looks and moves but i feel the one thing holding him back is his promos. He looks like a potential monster but he talks like he works at an office firm in his backstage comments. If he can fix that, I can definitely see him holding a title in the future.

  1. He’s an ok wrestler, he’s been getting better over time and I really liked his match with Jay.

  2. The match with Jay was epic and close to 5* for me, but this might be mostly due to King Switch. Nevertheless, I see something in him and there is a place for him in the roster.

  3. He will end up in AEW eventually with Jay. Unless they start to push him, I can see him in the Lance Archer role, US title and tag team picture.

  4. I like him, moves pretty well for his size and has a great powerslam.

He should of been in the new japan cup

  5. Huge guy, cool look, hope he builds more character now that he has a huge win over Jay

Always thought he’d be Fale’s replacement

  6. Better than Fale, not as good as Archer. Seems like the only time he has a good match is when his opponent bumps their ass off for him. NJPW needs a big man, so I’ll take him, but if Jonah was still there, he’d be obsolete.

  7. Hes ok. Hes big so thats a plus for him. I dont really think much of him, hes pretty neutral in my thoughts.

  8. he’s alright and definitely getting better but i’m constantly surprised whenever i remember how huge he is, he just doesn’t have that monster presence for me at all. it’s the promos and (lack of) attitude for sure. for example lance archer is almost the exact same billed height and weight but if i put these guys next to each other in my brain i’m like “oh, lance is obviously bigger”, you know. he’s gotta get weirder and scarier with it.

  9. Loved his match with Jay, wish they would have done something solid with him since. Tama & him for the tag titles maybe?

  10. I don’t think that NJPW has ever had a monster babyface in the history of the promotion, so face Hikuleo is a breath of fresh air in that regard. Hope that experiment works out.

  11. Nice and steady , he’s being seasoned , slow cooked and he’ll come good.

Missed everything from the half way point of WK 😕, not sure on as to why

  12. Jay gave him the match of his life earlier this year. But other than that match I’ve never seen anything from him that’s impressed me.

  13. idk what yall are talking about mans gotten SOO MUCH better over the last couple years. Hes a very solid Big man and a great 3rd for GOD.

  14. He has a ton of potential, especially since outside of him and Fale (whose relevance is mostly shot) there’s no true “big men” in NJPW who aren’t Young Lions. All his big moves hit big, and he has some great mannerisms. He needs to keep wrestling big though and not get pulled into the house style. It’ll keep him unique.

  15. Hikuleo improved a lot, but I don’t think he’d be a future star like the English commentary kept hinting since early 2023.

The name probably has to change, and he needs to have an attitude. The in-ring game? Guy has a beautiful powerslam that probably rivals Dustin Rhodes’ own. He just needs an attitude so people can buy into his monster presence.

  16. With how his character is presented he could be nicknamed the quiet giant. The crowds very much react everytime he throws the big boot
