Hello everyone. I am a current JET (ALT) wanting to do some research regrading different aspects of JET (ALTs to be specific). If all current JETs could answer that would be very helpful. If you could also share with other JET ALTs that would also be great. I’ll give some information below regarding the two questionnaires. Reddit pls this ain’t spam.
(1) Focuses on the training provided for ALTs. Both the Tokyo Orientation and Mid-Year Conference will be mentioned. Goal is to ask for perception on various aspects of in-service training provided.

(2) Focuses on the expectation JETs had when they were first accepted vs what was experienced when they arrived to their placement. Discusses work life, work duties and work relationships. Any extra comments can be made at the end of the questionnaire.

First, may I ask what this information will be used for and why?
Second, how are you ensuring the answers are from legit JETs/ALTs? Anyone can see and post in this subreddit and pretend to be a JET or ALT.
