I’ve finished genki 1 and genki 2. I signed up for the AP Japanese exam this May and tbh I just started to prepare for it. There aren’t a lot of resources online about AP Japanese and I’m really confused about how much more I’d need to learn. Should I just start on the next textbook (i.e Tobira) and do ap mock tests to prepare?

[Past exam questions here.](https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-japanese-language-and-culture/exam/past-exam-questions) – you need to tap on the underlined text. The commentary gives the reasoning for why it’s a certain score. Looking at JLPT style questions can also help, especially reading or listening. AP is about an N4.
Edit 2: Basically, if you can address the prompts more or less without error, you should be okay.
