2. From the video there’s a pretty significant explosion near the stage where (assumption) he was about to speak. Then as they are tackling the suspect, he’s got a large pipe bmb in his hand.

   Seems like the press are trying to play it down as an attempted smoke bmb attack.

   Most countries would call this an asas-attempt.
