Can you read these kanji? 月末、月見

*Posted with Mod approval* thank you u/LordQuorad san

Hi ✨I’m a Japanese Teaching Vtuber and I would like to study with you. I stream on ✨[Twitch](https://www.twitch.tv/cafealisa) and ✨[YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/c/cafealisa)✨

The reading of this kanji will be ”月末 getsumatsu” “月見 tsukimi”.

Kanji can be read on-yomi, kun-yomi, and other readings. It’s very confusing, isn’t it?
“月末 getsumatsu” is on-yomi and “月見 tsukimi” is kun-yomi.

Even though it is the same kanji, the reading changes depending on the phrase. It can be difficult to remember which one is the correct to use.

As a way to help learners I’ve making video a short series of videos for a kanji for the on-yomi, kun-yomi and also hold a live class where we go over them.

Next Free Live Lesson is a general review of the Kanji characters of “月”.

  1. I am watching you from time to time! Your content is always helpful and cute! ありがとう、ありさちゃん!

  2. From what I saw your lessons are very similar to a way foreign languages (English) are taught in Japan which is not good. Instead of making translation exercises (not a good approach to language learning in general) or teaching random kanji or random vocabulary from a textbook what about making a structured lesson based on how Japanese is actually and naturally used in Japan. Do you know of [Misa](https://www.youtube.com/@JapaneseAmmowithMisa) or [Miku](https://www.youtube.com/@mikurealjapanese3804)? They make really high quality YouTube videos teaching Japanese and I think you can get some inspiration from them. Or what about making comprehensible input videos. See [Yuki’s](https://www.youtube.com/@cijapanese) channel for an inspiration.

Sorry if this seemed like a complaint but that wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to make some constructive criticism and make a suggestion. Of course you can make whatever videos you want but if you decide to change it up I’d definitely subscribe then.
