  1. Is this your first time in Japan? My concern is that you have, with the exception of the second day, a train ride or check-in/out of accomodation every single day. Transfers to train stations take time and stress as well. To me this would feel extremely rushed most of the days, but perhaps you are used to travel in this way and you’re comfortable with it. If you’re not, please consider this before you spend your expensive holiday running between places with little time to take in the atmosphere and actually enjoy your time.

  2. I would remove Kawaguchiko instead of Hakone. It’s a really ackward area to travel to Osaka from. You’re wasting half a day that you can’t really afford to lose just on those travels. At least Hakone is conveniently placed between Osaka and Tokyo.

I’d also wouldn’t stay in Osaka. You’re spending zero time doing anything meaningful there, so just stay in Kyoto and cut down on your commute. You’re also going to have a lot less time than you think you do to sightsee in Kyoto. Public transport primarily relies on buses so travel times aren’t as reliable as Tokyo or Osaka.
