Assuming this is a paid camp, It is the camp manager’s duty to look out for dangerous trees. Someone will get effed for this.
Imagine waking up to a painful death
What a terrible thing to happen. If they had put up their tent just a couple feet to either side they could have avoided being hit by the tree.
This will definitely make me inspect any trees I camp by from now on.
I was always taught to never ever camp under a tree
By the looks of the tree it didn’t look like a widow maker…but then again I didn’t see its standing state…kinda huge though.
Before camping always check for trees that look like they could fall…
The wind yesterday was insane. There were tornado warnings too in various parts.
